The XSTO ZW7170E is engineered as a highly portable electric stair climber, offering a refined balance between load capacity, performance, and ease of handling. With a rated load capacity of 170kg, it is well suited to transporting appliances, cartons, and general freight across stairs and multi-level environments.

Designed for single-operator use, the ZW7170E features a powered stair climbing system that uses a lifting foot mechanism to move step-by-step up and down stairs. Selectable speed control allows operators to adjust performance depending on load and conditions, with climbing speeds of approximately 24 steps per minute on low speed and up to 34 steps per minute on high speed.

A key advantage of this model is its lightweight and compact construction, with a net weight of approximately 24kg including battery. This makes it easy to transport, store, and deploy, while still delivering reliable performance in everyday applications.

The ZW7170E features a fully foldable frame and telescopic handle, enabling compact storage and improved ergonomics during operation. The adjustable handle allows operators to maintain proper posture when handling different load types, reducing strain during extended use.

Powered by a 48V lithium-ion battery system, the unit delivers strong endurance, capable of climbing approximately 1,200–2,400 steps (around 70–150 floors) on a single charge, depending on load and operating conditions.

Positioned as a compact and refined lightweight upright stair climber, the ZW7170E is ideal for businesses that require improved portability and usability over entry-level models, while maintaining strong day-to-day performance.

Custom Trolleys from the initial inquiry were keen to listen and understand our innovation need to resolve the safety, high labour and time consuming task of movement of high volumes of bed linen to multiple accommodation facilities while transiting up & down multiple levels of stairwells. This lead to on site discussions and reviews to understand the obstacles resulting in the timely production of trail equipment. Custom trolleys management again attended site to provide training on the equipment and after a few weeks of use attended site to engage our front-line staff to obtain there feedback which resulted in a number of design enhancements. The resulting equipment resulted in reducing safety risk and fatigue & reduced required labour hours. The outcome was introduced nationally across our Defence service contract. I do not hesitate in recommending Custom Trolleys to anyone looking for solutions to provide a safer and efficient service outcome.

We have an old stair climber that needed repairing or replacing, Custom Trolleys were great with helping us make a decision.
